1AFUE: The federal government has established Annual Fuel Utilization Efficiency (AFUE) ratings to allow you to compare the efficiency of furnaces. The higher the AFUE percentage is, the more efficient the furnace.

*SEER=Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio. The higher the SEER rating number, the more energy efficient the unit. The government's established minimum rating for air conditioning is 13.
